Life and executive coaching with David Firth is exactly what you need to gain fresh perspective on your life and take steps towards personal and business growth. David offers two options for individuals who wish to significantly boost the way they embrace their work or how they show up in life. One is called “Full On Coaching™” – a year-long commitment to deep self-examination and revelation. The other is called “Liberation Day ™: Personal Coaching Retreats” – where you take advantage of one complete day with David all to yourself. That it’s an excursion in the Rocky Mountains simply gives you a stage fit for the work you want to do!

Wisdom

Because organizations are only ever an outward manifestation of the habits, dreams, emotions, conversations and behaviors of individual human beings working together, we might see our workplaces as exhibiting an ongoing and perhaps unresolved tension between our attempts to be adult and the recurrent rising up of our child-like unmet primal needs.

It is not so much that we get the organizations we deserve, perhaps, as that we get the organizations that reflect – and legitimize – our current stage of maturity as human beings. I believe our long-established emphasis on patriarchal, top-down understandings and models of leadership – and then our rush to balance that in more recent years with ‘bottom-up’, democratic and ‘softer’ staff involvement or engagement strategies – have only provided safe outlets for what can be referred to as the Parent and Child modes.

The Adult mode struggles to come through and assert itself, because, inadvertently, we are too busy being encouraged to play Parent and/or Child – David Firth
